Marriage Week 42

August 27 - September 2

And just like that, August has wrapped up and we’re onto a new month. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer for many reasons, but I am so excited to be inching closer to autumn; cooler weather, time to bring out the boots and sweaters again, and an excuse to buy all the fall decor at TJ Maxx and Target!

Family Day in Greensboro

Last Saturday we popped by my parents house to surprise them with a little hangout session. Zoe got some of her booster shots and wasn’t feeling very good, so we came to cheer her up. To in which, she lit up with Kamil walked through the door! Then we spent the rest of the afternoon playing board games and went out for Indian for dinner.

A Leisurely Sunday

Sunday morning we went to church and listened to the message from Pastor JD. Then we had a lovely relaxing afternoon sitting on the porch doing our marriage journal and spending some lounge time at the pool.

Greensboro Trip

I had to be back in Greensboro on Tuesday so on Monday night we drove down to Greensboro to hang with Mom and Zoe (Dad was off on a business trip…first one in a long time). We ended up spending two nights there and getting our extra Zoe fill!

On the Road Again

Then to wrap up a nice and quiet week, we packed up our luggage and the car and took off for a THREE WEEK ROAD TRIP to the northeast. I’m still not sure how I managed to fit everything in one trunk…considering we’re going to a wedding, visiting family, have work trips, and going hiking. It’s going to be quite the adventure. On our way out of town, Kamil had to stop and help a customer in Virginia which ended up being a 4-hour detour. We also just so happened to be by one of my most favorite wineries in Virginia, Early Mountain, so he humored me and we stopped for a quick glass and soak up the beautiful views.
