Marriage Week 43

September 3 - September 9

Quick Stop in New Jersey

While we were in New Jersey on our way through New England we spent a few nights at Kamil’s folks house. We met up with one of his good buddies Max at our go-to Polish spot, Abigails where we had delicious pierogis and stuffed cabbage. That night I met up with my two sister-in-laws and cousins for a little girls night.

Long Island Winery + Wedding

A big part of this trip through New England was actually because of a wedding! One of his friends from growing up was getting married on Long Island this weekend so we were happy that we got to celebrate with them. If you don’t know, Long Island has some fabulous wineries! So we rode up with our friends Adrian and Erica and made a little pit stop at Sherwood House Vineyards before the wedding and had a casual afternoon of sipping, noshing and enjoying the beautiful weather. We stopped at The Barrow House for lunch which included gluten free bread for their sandwiches - yum!

That night we went to the wedding and celebrated the happy couple as they start this next chapter in their lives! Congrats Jahmeel and Michelle!

Labor Day BBQ

On Labor Day everyone came over to the parents house for a typical Polish-style BBQ - all the meat you desire! Kamil, of course, manned the grill and served up everything from turkey burgers, kielbasa, regular burgers, hot dogs, salmon, and kabobs.

Friends and Bonfires

Popped over to Adrian and Erica’s where they prepared a fantastic feast for us, and then we spent a few hours enjoying the cool fall weather around the bonfire with a beautiful bottle of wine.

Saratoga Springs, New York

Kamil had to stop in upstate New York to help a customer so we made a pit stop in Saratoga Springs for the night. That evening we went and split some delicious fajitas at an outdoor restaurant and toasted his new job offer which he officially accepted!

The next morning Kamil headed off to the customer so I split my time between walking around the main street of Saratoga Spring and working from the hotel. Sadly the day before we got there the track shut down for the season, so we didn’t get a chance to make it out there.

Quick Trip to Massachusetts

Nothing too exciting to report for our time in Massachusetts. Kamil had to drop in on a conference at a hotel for the day. He talked to customers in between all his phone calls and we sat in the hotel lobby and worked most of the day. In the afternoon I popped out to the one and only coffee shop in town and got us a little pick-me-up. It was a cute old historic building that has seen many things in it’s time, so that’s always fun to see.

LOVE,
