Happy 9 Month Anniversary (August 13th)

On Friday we celebrated our 9-month wedding anniversary! What did my amazing husband do for me… well he fixed my car! So thankful that he is so handy and helpful and likes to tackle projects for us. That evening my parents came to town (with Zoe of course), brought a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a bottle of bubby, and took us out for a lovely dinner to Hawthorne and Wood which is a cozy, intimate spot in Chapel Hill. After a fabulous meal and lots of laughs, my parents went back to Greensboro and we ZoZo sat for the weekend.

The next morning we took Zoe on a walk, out to the dog park to play catch, and even went to Caribou for a pupppachino! She loved it!

That evening we continued our 9-month celebration by picking up fresh steaks from our local butcher and Kamil grilled them to perfection out on our little deck. I took care of the accompaniments - fig balsamic brussels sprouts and rosemary fries with truffle sauce.

Zoe got to spend one more night with us before we drove half way and handed her off to my dad. Always love our ZoZo tie!

Drive to New Jersey

On Tuesday we packed up the car (again) and headed North to New Jersey! I had to make my way to Wildwood for the Barefoot Country Music Fest over the weekend so we drove up together and spent a night at his folks before continuing onto Wildwood. It’s going to be a country-filled week in the “Myrtle Beach” of Jersey!
