Marriage Week 20

March 26 - April 1

Onto another month! April here we come. I love that we’re getting into spring (minus the incoming pollen season) as we’re looking forward to enjoying our porch more, warmer weather, random beach trips, and lots more sunshine! Here is a recap of our 20th week of marriage!

Home Depot Run

Kamil has a lovely palm tree outside on our deck and lately the squirrels have decided it was the perfect place for digging and hiding their nuts. Well not on Kamil’s watch! He was so sick and tired of them digging up all the dirt that we made a last minute run to his favorite…Home Depot… to get some chicken wire to finally put an end to the squirrel dibacle! Ha.

Saturday With Parents and Zoe

We live right on the Tobacco Trail, an awesome trail and greenway that crosses the city and runs like 20+ miles each way, making it the perfect destination for walking, biking and even the resurgence of the popular rollerblading! My parents enjoy biking and it was such a beautiful day that they came out and rode along the trail. They, of course, brought Zoe for us to hang out with while they spent a few hours biking. While they were gone we took ZoZo on a walk and to the dog park and played lots of fetch! When they got back (after they passed out on the couch for a few minutes) we had margaritas and then got burgers at one of our favorite burger joint down the road.

Spring Cleaning

We live on the first floor of our apartment complex and this winter has had havoc on our outside decks. Finally it’s getting warm enough where we want to enjoy the deck so it was time to get into serious spring cleaning mode and get it ready. My dad dropped off some supplies for cleaning the windows and siding and we spent a few hours scrubbing all the grime and gunk and making the windows sparkling again. Can’t wait to start enjoying the decks again!

Dying Eggs

Who say’s you’re too old to dye Easter eggs? Mom had a cute idea for the centerpiece for Easter and wanted to dye eggs again. She went with the old fashioned dunk-the-egg-in-the-color-liquid method and I tried the tie-dye shaving cream method I found on Pinterest! I was actually pretty impressed with how cool they turned out.

Taco Time with Sarah

I always love spending time with my bestie Sarah! We haven’t had a chance to connect lately but luckily since she was on spring break (praise break for teachers) we met up for an afternoon! We bummed around the outlet mall (and proceeded to get poured on) and then got some Mexican food at a cute little spot in a town in between our cities!

LOVE,
