Marriage Week 17

March 5 - March 11

Here’s a little recap of some of the little moments and big moments from our 17th week of marriage.

Car Inspection appointment

This may sound silly but one of the things I was looking forward to the most about being married was the Saturday “chores” that we would get to do together. The Costco runs, grabbing lunch in between the grocery store runs and the gym, and getting the oil changed in our cars. On Saturday we brought my car over to the dealership to get it inspected and as we were sitting there in the waiting room (for an extraordinarily long time) I realized this was the married moment feeling! There are moments over the last few months of marriage that have felt so “married” and it’s been so fun! While sitting at the car dealership is never fun, it’s a lot more fun with a homemade latte and your hubby by your side!

Meet Baby Hadley

My sweet friend, sorority sister and bridesmaid Mary Catherine and her husband welcomed their first baby a few weeks ago, an absolutely adorable little girl named Hadley! After the car dealership trip in the morning, we drove out to their home to meet her and hang out with Mommy and Daddy! While I got some baby cuddles and catch up with Mommy, her husband Banks and Kamil cooked delicious salmon on the grill. We got to enjoy some quality time with them over food and fellowship and it was a sweet sweet visit! Also… Kamil holding a baby… melts my heart!

Sunday Burger Grilling + Spring Decoration

Last week over dinner one evening Kamil mentioned he wanted to grill out this weekend so on this past beautiful sunny and warm spring Sunday, he broke out the grill and cooked us a lovely burger lunch! We cheers’d it off with a couple of margaritas too :) After lunch I worked on bringing a little springy cheerfulness to our front door area.

Travel Week

The rest of this past week was actually spent traveling again. Kamil took off on Monday morning up north for work and has been gone all week helping customers and attending a few business meetings. It’s been a tough few weeks for him with endless phone calls and emails so I know he’s looking forward to being home next week and being a bit (hopefully) quieter. While he was up north in the New England area, I took off to sunny Florida! Mom tagged along with me to be my road trip buddy as I traveled around Orlando and then down to Fort Myers for a few days for work. We ate (way too spicy) taco’s at Bartaco, stopped at a cute local coffee shop, and dipped our toes in the sand. Though it was a fast and quick work trip, we still made the best of it by getting our taco and margarita fix in and even enjoying a little beach time!

While this week was a “busy” week and mostly spent apart, it’s still been a blessed and fruitful week. Looking forward to warmer days and longer sunshine in the weeks ahead! Happy Friday everyone!

Love,
