Kate's Bookshelf: My August Reading List

First off I love to read, but when I travel it’s always great to have a book (or two) with you for airports, boat rides, and coffee shop reads! I’m setting a goal for myself to read at least four books a month, so I thought I’d share my recommendations from my August reading list!

  1. The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware

If you’re looking for a suspense, page turner (but not necessary “scary”) then this is a book for you!

2. A Love Letter Life by Jeremy and Audrey Roloff

Self awareness, improvement, relationship advice (for those single, engaged, and even married people out there!!)

3. Where’d You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple

Suspense - sort of - with a funny twist. It’s a mystery and a satire all in one. Plus it’s about to be a motion picture- so snag the book before you head to theaters!

4. A Question of Holmes by Brittany Cavallaro

I absolutely loved this entire series; Brittany did a fantastic job bringing a new generation and breath of life to the Holmes-Sherlock saga! Suspense, riveting, and generally just a great easy read. Start with book one though!

5. The Beach Club by Elin Hilderbrand

Elin Hilderbrand is one of my go-to summer reads. This is actually the first book she wrote in this Nantucket series. Romance, deceit, drama, summer nights, Nantucket backdrop - it’s a great beach read!
